🧪 What I'm Building: Idea To Brand - YouTube Video
Big comeback on YouTube this week. 🚀
We just launched a brand-new series called “Idea to Brand”, where we build a complete startup from scratch, showing every step of the process and how to leverage AI tools along the way.
Episode 1 starts with idea validation, and a new episode drops every week. The goal? To help you learn how to build the brands of tomorrow, even if you’re starting from zero. Not everyone can afford a full creative team, so we’re revealing everything: tools, workflows, and behind-the-scenes decisions.
On the client side, we signed two new projects and are wrapping up a few others. The pace is picking up, the vision is clearer than ever, and the momentum feels unstoppable.

🚨Big News: Canva just rewrote the rules
Two massive announcements just dropped this week. And if you're still paying for Adobe every month, you might want to pay attention.
Announcement #1: Affinity is now completely free (yes, really)
AI features like Generative Fill and background removal still require a Canva premium subscription, but the core design tools remain 100% free. For designers who don't need AI in their workflow, this is actually perfect: you can access professional tools without paying for features you don't need.
Big win for designers
The design community has been complaining about rising software costs and frustrating subscriptions for years. Canva must have heard that loud and clear.
This positions Canva as a full creative platform rather than just a design tool, putting them in direct competition with Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma. Whether you're a solo designer or doing agency work, having professional tools without mandatory subscriptions is a big win.

Announcement #2: Canva launches Creative Operating System
But Canva didn't stop there. They unveiled what they're calling the Creative Operating System the biggest evolution of their platform to date, built on a world first Design Model trained to understand full complexity and nuance.
What makes this different:
Unlike traditional AI that generates flat images, Canva's Design Model understands structure, layering, hierarchy, and brand positioning, creating 100% editable content with each element on separate layers. This is game changing for your actual workflow, not just generating pretty pictures.
Video 2.0 completely reimagines video editing with a redesigned timeline and Magic Video, which can generate polished content from a single prompt. And the new 3D Content Generator creates depth and dimension, while Shape Generator produces unique geometric elements alongside an expanded library.
For us designers, this means: You're getting professional grade tools for free, plus AI that actually understands design principles not just pretty image generation.

🤖 Design Inspiration: 3D asset generators that don't suck
Tool Used: Meshy AI
A cute handmade pumpkin doll rendered in soft 3D, made of orange and brown yarn with knitted texture, black button eyes, a wide stitched smile, and small plush limbs. The pumpkin has a short brown stem and a green crocheted leaf on top. The lighting should be warm and diffused, resembling a studio product photo with shallow depth of field. Background should be neutral light gray to emphasize texture and craftsmanship. Style realistic yet whimsical, evoking cozy handmade toy aesthetics.
Tool Used: Sloyd AI
A stylized 3D character of a friendly anthropomorphic dog standing upright, wearing a small tan cowboy hat. The character has rounded proportions, short limbs, and a smooth fur texture with a light brown belly patch. The style should be minimal, clean, and toy like with subtle shadows. Lighting should be soft studio illumination on a plain neutral background. The dog’s pose should be relaxed and confident, evoking a mascot or collectible vinyl figure design.
Tool Used: Hyper3D AI
A detailed 3D model of a rustic wooden bucket built from vertical planks, bound with metal hoops and fitted with rope handles on both sides. The wood should show natural grain, subtle wear, and warm brown tones. Lighting should be cinematic and low key, creating contrast and emphasizing material realism. The background should be dark studio space with soft reflections on the floor. Aim for realistic materials and accurate depth for physically based rendering.
🛠️ Tutorial of the Week: Website to social posts in 60 seconds with Pomelli
Google just released a new AI tool from Google Labs and DeepMind, and if you're still manually designing social media posts, you need to check it out. Pomelli turns your website into a complete brand profile and generates platform ready marketing assets in seconds.

Step 1: Paste Your Website URL
Head over to Pomelli and start for free. Simply paste your website URL into the input field. No account or setup needed.
For best results, use your homepage or a strong landing page. Pomelli analyzes the entire site to understand your brand, so pages with clear branding, good imagery, and consistent messaging work best.

Step 2: Watch AI Build Your "Business DNA"
This is where the magic happens. Pomelli instantly analyzes your website and creates what Google calls your "Business DNA" profile. The AI automatically extracts:
Brand colors and full color palette
Typography choices and font styles
Tone of voice from your copy
Visual style and imagery aesthetic
Logo and key brand assets
This isn't just scraping images. Pomelli understands your brand personality, design language, and how everything actually works together. No need for manual uploads, style guides, or brand kits.

Step 3: Describe Your Marketing Campaign
Now tell Pomelli what you're promoting. Describe your campaign in natural language, and the AI generates tailored campaign ideas based on your Business DNA. Some example prompts:
"Create posts for our winter sale, highlight 30% off all products"
"Announce our new product launch with an energetic, modern vibe"
"Promote our upcoming release, friendly casual tone"
Pomelli offers suggested campaign concepts you can use instantly, or you can input your own vision. Either way, the AI will make sure everything stays on-brand.

Step 4: Generate Platform-Ready Marketing Assets
Within seconds, Pomelli creates a complete set of high quality marketing assets: social media posts optimized for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn, ad creatives ready for paid campaigns, and website graphics for hero sections or announcements.
Every asset is automatically formatted for each platform, on brand with your colors, fonts, and visual style, professionally designed with balanced layouts, and fully editable before you download.

Step 5: Edit and Download
You're in full control. Tweak anything directly inside Pomelli. Edit text and copy, swap or adjust images, modify layouts, and fine tune colors. Once you're satisfied, download individual assets or export all at once. Everything comes ready to use across your marketing channels.
Pomelli is a Google Labs experiment in public beta (US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand), which means it's completely free right now while they refine the experience. If you're managing marketing for yourself or clients, this easily cuts content creation time by 80%.
You can try it here.
🌍 If you’re outside those regions, you can still access it with a VPN it works, but may run a bit slower.

💡 Prompt of the week: Ecommerce Product Photo Generation
Graphic Tool Used: Pebblely

A red luxury skincare serum bottle (SK-II Skinpower Essence) standing upright in calm reflective water, surrounded by lush green foliage and soft white flowers, with sunlight filtering through leaves. The scene should look serene, natural, and elegant, with gentle ripples in the water and a clear reflection of the bottle. Shallow depth of field, warm morning light, high-end beauty product aesthetic.Wrapping Up
That’s it for this week, but I want to make each edition even better.
