WHAT I’M BUILDING

Behind the Scenes

This week I spent a lot of time improving my workflow with Claude Code. I’ve now set it up almost like an AI operating system for my daily work. Huge shout out to Liam Ottley, who helped me configure everything - he’s definitely the go-to person if you want to learn how to use Claude Code for automations (check out his YouTube).

The productivity gain has been insane. Whether it’s scripting videos, implementing new systems, or organizing ideas, execution is just so much faster. It genuinely feels like a glimpse into the future of how businesses will operate.

To balance all of that, I also enjoyed my last week in Cape Town by exploring a bit more. I visited Noordhoek, a calm spot with an incredible beach, and decided to go completely offline for a day.

Something I almost never do - and it felt really good.

BIG NEWS

Perplexity Computer, A Cloud Based AI Worker That Never Stops

Perplexity launched perplexity computer, a cloud based AI system the company describes as a "general purpose digital worker."

It's software that operates browsers, applications, APIs, and file systems autonomously.

It can execute research across seven parallel search types, write documents, build applications, send emails, and coordinate multi step workflows.

What caught my attention

The architecture uses multi model orchestration, routing tasks to 19+ specialized AI models including Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Grok, Nano Banana, and Veo 3.1.

Instead of locking you into a single model ecosystem, perplexity computer picks the right model for each step of the task.

It supports 400+ app integrations like Gmail, Outlook, GitHub, Slack, Notion, Salesforce and more with persistent memory across sessions.

You can describe a complex, multi step project and walk away, the system breaks it down, executes each step, and delivers the result.

Perplexity also announced personal computer, software that runs continuously on your Mac mini as an always on agent, merging your local files and apps with Perplexity's cloud services

It's controllable from any device, anywhere.

Why it matters

The enterprise version is already showing results.

In internal testing of 16,000+ queries against institutional benchmarks from McKinsey, Harvard, MIT, and BCG, the system completed what Perplexity estimated to be 3.25 years of work in four weeks, saving approximately $1.6 million in labor costs.

The enterprise tier connects to Snowflake, Salesforce, and HubSpot, executes queries in isolated environments, and is SOC 2 Type II compliant with SAML single sign on and full audit trails.

Every sensitive action requires user approval, and there's a kill switch for immediate shutdown.

The real win

For designers and creative professionals, the 400+ integrations and multi model approach mean you can offload entire research and production workflows.

You can brief perplexity computer on a competitor analysis, have it pull brand assets from connected tools, draft a presentation in Notion, and email the team all from one instruction.

Perplexity computer is available now as a perplexity max exclusive at $200 per month with 10,000 monthly credits for Computer tasks.

Standard searches remain unlimited.

There's no free tier or trial and the personal computer local agent is rolling out through a waitlist.

DESIGN INSPIRATION

Product Images With the Exact Prompts

Tool Used: OpenArt

PROMPT: Create a premium e commerce product photograph of a matte black wireless speaker floating at a slight angle against a soft cream gradient background. The speaker has a cylindrical form with a woven fabric texture wrapping the body and a brushed aluminum base with subtle rose gold accent ring. Position the speaker slightly off-center to the right with a natural shadow falling beneath it on an invisible surface. Lighting comes from a large soft key light at 45 degrees upper left creating a smooth gradient across the fabric texture, and a subtle rim light from the lower right adding edge definition to the aluminum base. Add three small floating elements around the speaker: a translucent sound wave visualization in soft coral, a tiny geometric equalizer bar graphic, and a minimal Wi-Fi connectivity icon, all rendered in a frosted glass material with soft drop shadows. The depth of field should be shallow with the speaker tack-sharp and the floating elements slightly soft. Color temperature is warm and inviting. Every surface material should be physically accurate with proper light falloff, specular highlights on the metal, and soft diffusion through the fabric weave. The overall mood should feel like an Apple product page meets a high-end lifestyle brand editorial. Clean, minimal, aspirational. Shot at the equivalent of 85mm f/2.8 with studio strobe quality lighting.

Tool Used: DeeVid Ai

PROMPT: Render a hyper realistic e commerce hero image of a luxury skincare serum bottle on a polished marble surface with soft morning light streaming in from the right side. The bottle is tall and slender with frosted clear glass, a gold dropper cap, and a minimal white label with elegant serif typography reading "Lumière Serum 30ml". Behind the bottle, arrange organic props: two thin slices of fresh grapefruit with visible juice droplets catching the light, a sprig of dried lavender laying diagonally, and three small clear water droplets scattered on the marble surface reflecting the bottle. The marble surface is white Calacatta with subtle gray veining running through it. Key lighting is warm golden hour quality from the right side casting long soft shadows to the left. Add a secondary fill light from above to illuminate the liquid inside the bottle showing its pale golden color. The background transitions from warm white to a barely perceptible blush pink gradient. Depth of field is medium-shallow: the bottle is perfectly sharp, the grapefruit slices behind are slightly soft, and the far background melts into a creamy bokeh. Every material is physically rendered: glass refraction on the bottle, subsurface scattering on the grapefruit flesh, light absorption on the lavender stems. The final image should feel like a Vogue Beauty editorial meets a premium direct-to-consumer brand product page. Professional studio photography quality at 4K resolution.

Tool Used: Leonardo AI

PROMPT: Photorealistic coffee supplement stand-up pouch packaging, matte dark brown resealable zip-lock pouch, centered on a clean light gray studio background with a soft glossy reflection on the floor.

Modern health supplement branding on the pouch reading “Natural Energy – Healthy Life” in a premium badge style logo at the top. Large bold title “Coffee Supplement” in the center.

Subtext: “Premium Energy Blend”, “Boost Focus & Stamina”, “With Adaptogens & Vitamins”, and “120g – Dietary Supplement.”

Include realistic coffee cup with steam, coffee beans, and green coffee leaves integrated into the pouch design near the bottom.

Subtle coffee-colored geometric patterns and light bokeh highlights on the packaging.

High-end product photography, studio lighting, ultra realistic, 4k, commercial packaging render, centered composition, soft shadows, glossy reflection.

TUTORIAL OF THE WEEK

How to Build an On Brand Marketing Campaign in 10 Minutes With LovArt

I know there have been times where you needed a full set of marketing assets, instagram posts, brochures, social content and didn't have the time or budget to produce them all from scratch.

You can solve that problem with Lovart, it lets you upload your brand identity once and generate everything on brand in minutes.

Here’s how you can do it:

Step 1: Upload Your Brand Identity

  1. Go to Lovart and create a free account

  2. Navigate to the brand upload section and add your brand identity files logo, color palette, and typography

  3. Lovart's AI will analyze your brand assets and store them as the foundation for all future generations

Pro Tip: Upload the highest resolution versions of your logo and make sure your color values are accurate. The AI uses these as the source of truth for everything it generates, so quality in means quality out.

Step 2: Generate Social Media Posts

  1. Open the chat interface and mention the brand images you uploaded

  2. Select the Social Media skill from the available tools

  3. Describe the type of Instagram posts you need, product launches, announcements, testimonials, whatever fits your campaign

  4. Lovart will generate fully designed posts that match your brand perfectly.

Step 3: Create Print Ready Brochures

  1. Switch to the Brochure skill within the same workspace

  2. Describe the brochure content, what sections you need, what messaging to include, and any specific layout preferences

  3. The AI generates print ready brochure designs that still match your brand identity from Step 1

  4. Every element stays consistent across formats meaning you’ll have same colors, same typography and same visual language

Step 4: Edit and Refine

  1. Click the edit button on any generated design to open the element editor

  2. You can change individual elements, swap fonts, reposition graphics, adjust spacing, resize text blocks

  3. Or skip manual editing entirely and ask the AI to make changes for you in natural language

  4. Once everything looks right, export your assets in the formats you need

PROMPT OF THE WEEK

3D App Icon Animation With Higgsfield Vibe Motion

PROMPT: Animate this 3D app icon with a premium reveal and ambient loop sequence. Begin with the icon emerging from a soft depth of field blur, scaling from 95 percent to 100 percent with a smooth ease-out curve over 1.5 seconds. As the icon sharpens into focus, apply a gentle continuous rotation on the Y axis oscillating between negative 5 degrees and positive 5 degrees on a slow 4-second loop, revealing the three-dimensional depth of the rounded square shape and the raised embossed elements on the surface. Add a sweeping light reflection that travels diagonally across the glossy icon surface from upper left to lower right every 3 seconds, catching the edges of the embossed design elements and creating bright specular highlights that bloom softly before fading. The background should be a clean, warm gradient shifting subtly between soft peach and cream tones with a barely visible radial glow centered behind the icon. Introduce micro-animation on the central design element: the petals or rays should pulse with a gentle breathing scale effect between 98 and 102 percent on staggered 2-second intervals, giving the icon organic life without feeling mechanical. A faint ambient particle effect of tiny warm-toned dots drifts upward slowly behind the icon, like embers or bokeh lights, adding depth to the composition. The shadow beneath the icon should respond to the rotation, shifting softly left and right to ground the object in space. All motion should use professional ease-in-out timing curves with no sharp movements. The overall feel should be a polished App Store feature graphic or product launch hero animation. Cinematic quality with warm, inviting lighting.

TOOL OF THE WEEK

Variant

If you've ever stared at a blank canvas trying to decide on a visual direction for a new project, Variant eliminates that problem entirely.

Variant is an AI design tool where you type an idea for an app or website and get endless design variations just by scrolling.

You don’t need prompts for more options, just keep scrolling and new interpretations appear.

A travel app, a podcast site, a fintech dashboard, whatever you describe, Variant generates fully formed UI designs in a continuous feed.

🧠 How I'd use it

I'd use Variant to:

  • Kickstart client projects by generating 20+ visual directions in 2 minutes instead of spending an hour sketching rough concepts on a blank art board.

  • Build mood boards and style explorations for pitch decks, scroll through variations, screenshot the strongest ones, and present a range of directions without designing any of them from scratch

  • Use the Style Dropper feature to remix design languages across projects, take the visual DNA from a design I admire and apply it to a completely different concept to see how it translates.
